Planting Seeds of Change: Vital Pressed Brings School Gardens to Ghana

At Vital Pressed, our mission has always been about more than juice. It’s about reconnecting people to natural produce, empowering communities, and proving that food has the power to transform lives. That vision comes straight from our CEO, Kevin Adu Sarkodie—an educator, farmer, mentor, and wellness entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to creating opportunities and educating for impact.
Today, Kevin is leading an initiative that takes this mission into schools across Ghana: the Planting Seeds of Change project.
Growing More Than Food
For Kevin, every classroom he visits is more than just a room—it’s a space filled with potential. He sees children who deserve more than fast food and misinformation about nutrition. He sees a generation that can grow up connected to nature, confident in their choices, and capable of feeding themselves and their communities.
Through this initiative, schoolchildren will learn how to:
Grow fruits and vegetables organically.
Understand the importance of healthy eating.
Develop habits of “growing what you eat.”
Build patience, responsibility, and self-reliance through farming.
Equipping the Next Generation
Many schools simply don’t have the tools to make this possible. That’s why the Planting Seeds of Change project will provide school garden starter kits, including:
Child-friendly PPE (gloves, boots, aprons, sun hats).
Organic seeds (leafy greens, tomatoes, herbs, and more).
Watering cans, hand tools, and compost bins.
Posters, lesson plans, and educational resources.
The aim is to establish school garden clubs, run regular workshops, and train teachers to continue nurturing the movement long after the first seeds are planted.
The Bigger Vision
This is just the beginning. Kevin’s long-term dream is to establish a demonstration and educational farm in Ghana, a place where vulnerable children from around the world can learn, grow, and build character through hands-on farming. Imagine a space where children from different countries come together to plant, harvest, cook, and eat the food they grew themselves—leaving with not just knowledge, but purpose and possibility.
How You Can Help
This vision grows one seed at a time, and every contribution makes an impact:
GHS 100 / $10 – seed packs for one classroom.
GHS 250 / $25 – PPE and tools for a child.
GHS 500 / $50 – sponsors a hands-on workshop.
GHS 1,000 / $100 – sets up a full organic school garden.
Whether you donate, share, or simply spread the word, you’re helping us plant the seeds of a healthier, more empowered generation.
Rooted in the Vital Pressed Mission
At Vital Pressed, everything we do is guided by a simple truth: food is medicine. This project is an extension of that belief, bringing farming and nutrition education to the next generation so they can carry forward the values of health, sustainability, and self-reliance.
